Florentino Pérez sold Real Madrid's 15-hectare training ground, Ciudad Deportiva, to the city and regional authorities to clear debt and pay for the star players in 2001. Four gigantic skyscrapers were built in that place and were nick-named after Figo, Zidane, Ronaldo and Beckham.
